Trey Hensley is a resident of Culpeper, Virginia and grew up in Madison County. He has pursued a love of basketball since the age of 7.

He played Freshman Basketball in Middle School, JV his Sophomore year, & Varsity his Senior year. With a relentless work ethic going into his senior season, he grew into his role and became one of the best three point shooters in the state of Virginia. As a role player off the bench, Trey took advantage of his playing time tying a school record with 6 made 3-pointers in a game in the Regional Playoffs.

He contributed to the biggest play in the history of Madison County High School with a three pointer that put his team ahead in the State Championship with just under 3 minutes left. His team ultimately won the game by three points and finished the season 26-0 with a District, Region, & State Title.

After high school, Trey had opportunities to play College Basketball but because of an injury that dream never came to fruition. This led to volunteer coaching at his Alma Mater for two seasons, where he is now the Head Assistant Coach. With his high motor and extreme work ethic, he started to work one-on-one with players from the Madison County Varsity team and athletes from surrounding colleges.

His experiences and passion for the game spawned Trey Hensley Basketball, which ultimately led to him also becoming apart of DR1VEN Training. As a part of DR1VEN Training, Trey has had the opportunity to work with players such as 2019 Lottery Pick De'Andre Hunter of the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder's Ty Jerome, & Philadelphia 76er Justin Anderson. His clientele also features many local middle & high school players, college players, & WNBA player Bella Alarie of the Dallas Wings. He makes good players great by breaking down every aspect of the game and pushing his players past their limits. Trey is highly respected and sought out by players because he has a great respect for the game.  For him, its about building relationships with players and showing them that it goes beyond the game of basketball.
